7075
Alloy 7075 and Alclad 7075 are heavily alloyed with zinc, with lesser amounts of magnesium, copper, and chromium. It is one of the strongest aluminum alloys and is used similarly to 2024, with 7075 being selected when superior mechanical properties are required. Forming operations are limited. An Alclad version is also available for improved corrosion resistance. All 7075 flat products conform to ASTM B209; the 7075 Bare version conforms to AMS QQ-A-250/12, and Alclad 7075 conforms to AMS QQ-A-250/13.
