Aluminum Plate

2024

Alloy 2024 contains 4.5% copper. Its tensile strength ranges from 30 to 63 kSI. It has moderate workability and corrosion resistance. Forming operations are limited. It is used in high-strength structural and aircraft applications. It is also available in an Alclad version for improved corrosion resistance. Alloy 2024 meets AMS QQ-A-250/4, Alclad AMS QQ-A-250/5, and ASTM B209.
