7075
7075 and Alclad 7075 are highly alloyed with zinc, with lower amounts of magnesium, copper, and chromium. It is one of the strongest aluminum alloys and is used in applications similar to 2024, with 7075 being chosen when superior mechanical properties are required. Forming operations are limited. An Alclad version is also available for improved corrosion resistance. All 7075 flat products conform to ASTM B209; 7075 Bare conforms to AMS QQ-A-250/12, and Alclad 7075 conforms to AMS QQ-A-250/13.
