Alloy 6061 contains 1.0% magnesium and 0.6% silicon. Its tensile strength ranges from 20 to 42 kSI. It has good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. It is used in engineering and structural applications, including boats, furniture, transportation equipment, and more. It meets AMS QQ-A-250/11 and ASTM B209 standards.
