2024

Alloy 2024 contains 4.5% copper and has a tensile strength range of 30 to 63 kSI. It offers moderate workability and corrosion resistance, although forming operations are limited. It is used in high-strength structural and aeronautical applications.

It is also available in an Alclad version for improved corrosion resistance.

Alloy 2024 meets AMS QQ-A-250/4 specifications, while the Alclad version meets AMS QQ-A-250/5 and ASTM B209.
